Welcome from the Headteacher

AHESMMW21 (772)

It is an absolute privilege to be the Principal of Rodborough School.  Rodborough has a history of academic excellence and I look forward to building on this to ensure that we are #UnlockingPotential in each and every student.  At Rodborough, we aspire to instil in our students a lifelong love of learning and to inspire them to aim high and believe in their abilities. We believe that every student has the potential to be successful, and we are committed to providing the highest quality of education by offering a challenging and engaging curriculum that is designed to inspire and motivate our students to become lifelong learners.

Alongside striving for academic excellence, we also believe in ensuring that students grow into happy and successful members of society. We offer students the pastoral support and guidance they need to reach their full potential.  Our 5 ‘Rs’ – Respect, Resilience, Reflection, Resourcefulness, Responsibility – underpin our pastoral work.

We also want to provide an education that broadens and enriches our students’ school experience and develops their personal qualities and interests.  We offer a range of extracurricular activities, such as sports, music, drama, and Duke of Edinburgh, which create memories that last long after students have left us.

As part of the journey, I will continue the development of the school site to offer an outstanding learning environment that stimulates and inspires students.

I believe that schools should have a caring, engaging, and fun environment, which allows students to thrive academically and personally.   I am committed to providing opportunities for our students to develop as well-rounded, happy individuals, who can contribute positively to society and make a difference in the world.

I look forward to welcoming you to the school.

Mrs Emma Hunston
