Governance
The Local Governing Body has responsibility for setting and monitoring overall strategic direction, approving policy and appointing key staff members.
The Governors meet as a Full Board four times each year. All decisions reserved to the Governors are taken by the Board as a whole. Local Governing Body committees also meet between three or four times each year to consider detailed matters and recommend decisions to the Full Board.
There are currently five such committees:
• Teaching, Learning and Staffing
• Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing
• Resources, Risks and Infrastructure
• Admissions
• Policy and Strategy
In addition, the Pay Committee meets once a year to confirm pay decisions.
