Virtual Open Evening

Open evening is one of the highlights of our annual calendar. Each year our students are always enthusiastic about celebrating their school and showing visitors what they do during a normal working day. Sadly, the current national situation means that we are unable to offer the usual opportunity to prospective students and their parents to visit the school site and experience this wonderful evening.

We understand that visiting the school site, meeting the staff and students as well as touring during the school day are an important part of the process of deciding on your child’s secondary school. With that ruled out as an option for this year, we have worked hard to provide prospective students and their parents with as much ‘virtual’ information as possible.

Our curriculum supports the development of the learner as well as providing breadth and depth of experience. Our collaboration with other local schools and colleges means that we are able to offer a wide range of specialist opportunities for our students designed to meet a range of differing needs. Outside the classroom, we take pride in the range of opportunities we offer which include an impressive variety of trips, a very successful Duke of Edinburgh programme and many clubs and societies. Our sports leadership and prefect programmes are designed to encourage students to become involved in their community whilst at the same time develop their leadership skills. You can get a flavour of what is on offer through our prospectus, which is available virtually here.

Should you have any questions, not answered in the virtual content, please do not hesitate to contact my PA, Mrs Deane, adeane@rodborough.surrey.sch.uk. Mrs Deane coordinates our admissions and will be happy to answer any questions regarding this.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Rodborough when it is safe for us to do so.
